Buffalo Studio

Buffalo Studio is a professional music recording and production studio located within The Chairworks complex in Castleford, West Yorkshire. Just under an hour from Sheffield and Manchester, the studio combines vintage analog gear with modern flexibility. With an inspiring and homely atmosphere, Buffalo Studio supports everything from professional mixing and full-band recording to songwriting, pre-production, and even photoshoots. Artists benefit from a comfortable and creative setting with experienced engineers and quality equipment.

The space

The studio features a 50 m² live room and an additional 50 m² booth area, providing flexible space for tracking, overdubs, and live sessions. The rooms are acoustically treated and filled with natural light. The setup includes a control room centered around a 48-channel SSL 4000G+ mixing desk and vintage high-end outboard gear. The facility also offers on-site accommodation for up to 9 guests, ideal for residential sessions, writing retreats, or intensive production projects.

Studio Rules

Respect the gear and shared spaces. No food or drink near recording equipment. Keep noise to agreed session hours. Communicate all setup needs in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Canceling a booking at least 14 calendar days before the recording date will incur no cost to the client. After this period, contact us and we’ll try to help you.
