Yama Studios is a minimalist recording retreat set among the cedar hills outside Kyoto.
Designed for deep creative focus, this zen-inspired space caters to composers, sound artists, and musicians seeking clarity in both sound and setting.

The space

Located in Ohara, a serene rural area 40 minutes north of Kyoto, surrounded by temples, rice fields, and ancient forest paths.

Sessions must be canceled at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
